Rising with the Sun: Innovation, Design and the Future in Motion

Juying Secondary School Overseas Exchange Programme to Tokyo, Japan | 1–6 November 2026

From 1 to 6 November 2026, 24 Secondary 2 and 3 students, accompanied by four teachers, will embark on a six-day overseas exchange programme to Tokyo, Japan, themed “Rising with the Sun: Innovation, Design and the Future in Motion.”

This purposeful overseas programme provides students with opportunities to broaden their global perspectives through authentic learning experiences beyond the classroom. Through school exchanges with their Japanese peers, students will experience different school cultures, build meaningful connections and develop greater cross-cultural understanding.

Beyond the school exchanges, students will explore Japan's rich cultural heritage, technological advancements and approaches to disaster preparedness. These experiences will encourage students to draw meaningful connections between Japan and Singapore, while deepening their appreciation of innovation, resilience and community values.

Anchored in Juying's 5G dispositions and R2IGHT values, the programme aims to nurture globally minded, adaptable and reflective learners who are confident in engaging with an increasingly interconnected world. More importantly, it is an opportunity for our students to step beyond familiar surroundings, embrace new perspectives and shape their Futureprint through meaningful experiences.
