Vision
To nurture every Speech and Drama member into a confident and creative member, who is able to express himself/herself articulately through the use of English Language in oratorical and drama performances.
Mission
To expose members to different forms of dramatisation and oratorical skills and ignite a passion and love for theatre art and public speaking.
Overview
At Juying, we believe the performing arts give students the confidence to express themselves, connect with others and bring ideas to life. The Speech & Drama Society provides JYians with opportunities to discover their voices while developing their speech, performance and dramatisation skills.
Through weekly training led by instructors, teachers and student leaders, members sharpen their communication and performance skills while building creativity and confidence. Warm-ups and bonding activities strengthen camaraderie as students learn to collaborate, take creative risks and support one another. Members also apply their skills through active participation in school events and external programmes.
More than taking the stage, Speech & Drama is a journey of expression and growth. Through every rehearsal and performance, JYians learn to communicate with confidence, express ideas creatively and develop the courage to make their voices heard.
