Learning Strategies

The Companion on Learning Strategies helps our students to learn smarter with practical brain-based strategies so that they can manage their time better, deepen their understanding and build confidence. We want to build learning mindsets and 5G dispositions that will stay with our JYians for life.

At Juying Secondary School, we help students learn more effectively through our Companion on Learning Strategies.

Developed collaboratively by teachers, the guide provides practical guidance on strengthening understanding and recall, planning revision and supporting well-being, with examples across different subjects based on brain-based learning strategies.

In lessons, our teachers guide the students to apply these learning strategies consistently. We aim to develop reflective and independent learners who can make purposeful choices about how they study and take greater ownership of their learning progress.
