One Choir One Voice.
Overview
At Juying, we believe music brings people together, building confidence, discipline and a shared sense of purpose. The JYSS Choir provides JYians with opportunities to discover their voices and grow as performers through the joy of singing together.
Through weekly training led by instructors, teachers and student leaders, members develop their vocal techniques and ensemble singing skills. Warm-ups, rehearsals and team-building activities strengthen confidence and unity as choristers learn to listen to one another, harmonise and work towards a shared musical goal. The Choir also performs at school events and represents Juying at external platforms such as the Singapore Youth Festival.
More than developing musical ability, the Choir is a journey of expression and belonging. Through every rehearsal and performance, JYians find their voices, support one another and experience the joy of creating something meaningful together.
